Abstract

Education and research facilities require a relatively high level of indoor environment quality compared to other buildings due to the main users and the main activity characteristics of the building, and the total energy consumption and energy consumption per unit area are also relatively large. Therefore, interest in environment-friendly and energy-saving passive and active alternatives applicable to education and research facilities is increasing. In this study, 118 education and research facilities in the United States that have received LEED certification, an eco-friendly architecture certification program that is widely used internationally, were analyzed and presented for the application trend of environment-friendly technology alternatives in the recent 10 years.
